Verona Councilman Offers Scholarship To HS Senior

Town of Verona, NY (WIBX) - If you're a student or parent of a student living in the Town of Verona, and could use a $250 scholarship, keep reading.  Councilman Fred "Fritz" Scherz is once again offering the Fred Scherz Sr. Memorial Scholarship for Volunteer Community Services to a graduating high school senior who is active in the community. The candidate must be voluntarily engaged in community service, or have created a community project.

The deadline to apply is May 1, 2012, and the winner will be selected by a board of volunteers.
