WIBX's own Julian Noga was honored by the City of Utica Common council at a ceremony Wednesday night.

Noga, who has hosted the Polish-themed 'Polonaise' Sundays on WIBX 950 am since 1990, recently announced his retirement from the show after 24 years.

Noga's son Rich said Julian is extremely honored and almost couldn't find words to describe his happiness.

Noga was recognized by the Common Council not only for his time on Polonaise, but for the work and contributions he has made to the Polish community in Utica.
