Westmoreland, NY (WIBX) - After a 2-month investigation into an alleged Identity Theft case, the New York State Police have made an arrest. Police say 21-year old Sewell Claycomb of Westmoreland used another person's paypal account to make a purchase at the Walmart store in New Hartford.

During their investigation, authorities say they uncovered additional nefarious activity believed to be perpetrated by Claycolm. Troopers found 3 handguns, a television, a laptop and jewelry, all believed to have been taken from 4 separate residences in both the Town of Westmorland and the City of Rome.

Claycomb, who is currently behind bars at the Oneida County Jail on unrelated charges, was charged with 2 counts of Felony Burglary, 1 count of Felony Grand Larceny, 1 count of Misdemeanor Identity Theft and 1 count of Petit larceny.

Claycolm is set to be arraigned on the Felony charges in a Town of Westmoreland courtroom the day after Christmas.
