All nine Yankees in the starting lineup had at least one hit, and seven of the nine had an RBI as New York pounded out a 13-8 victory on Wednesday afternoon, taking the series rubber game from Boston at Fenway Park.

Greg Bird and John Ryan Murphy hit back-to-back homers in an eight run second-inning. Carlos Beltran also went deep in the second to help the Yankees race out to an 8-1 lead. Didi Gregorious and Stephen Drew each homered as New York has won five of six.

Boston scored at-least one-run in each of the last five-innings to make the score more respectable, but never really threatened to comeback against their AL Wild Card leading rivals.

However, another win from Toronto kept New York 1.5 games out of the division race.

The Yankees are off Thursday before opening a ten-game homestand against AL East rivals: 3 vs. the Rays and O's, then a four-game series against the Blue Jays.
