C.C. Sabathia shook off back-to-back first inning home runs from Mike Trout and Albert Pujols, and the Yankees showed some pop of their own en route to a 6-2 win over the Angelson Sunday to complete a three game sweep of the Texas Rangers.

Chris Young, Brett Gardner and Jose Pirela all went deep as New York won it's sixth straight. Sabathia struck out seven over six innings, allowing just the two solo-blasts on five hits.

Texas' C.J. Wilson allowed all six Yankee runs and fell to 3-5.

After an off day Monday the Yanks open a brief two-game series with the Nationals in the Bronx.
