16 People Charged in Meth-Production Crackdown
Ten Broome County residents and six Cortland County residents have been arrested as part of a federal investigation into the production of methamphetamine.
Authorities say the sixteen have been charged with possessing pseudoephedrine, an over-the-counter drug, knowing it would be used to make meth.
Federal officials say all but one of the suspects was arrested on Wednesday.
Among those arrested are 56-year-old Warren Zeilman and 52-year-old Lisa Zeilman, both of Vestal; and 39-year-old William Richards and 20-year-old Kurtis Richards, both of Johnson City.
Three Whitney Point residents also were arrested. They are 50-year-old Charles McNeilly, 40-year-old Troy Clark and 39-year-old Donald Moshier.
The other Broome County residents arrested are 63-year-old Mervin Clark and 34-year-old Lindy Clark, both of Glen Aubrey; and 30-year-old Corey Mangan of Lisle.
The six other suspects live in Cortland County. They are: 27-year-old Tyler Brobeck, 27-year-old Alysia Brobeck, 38-year-old Timothy Duff, and 48-year-old Pamela Lackner, all of Cortland; and 39-year-old James Duff and 32-year-old Samantha Albanese, both of Truxton.
Federal investigators were assisted by several local and state agencies in developing information that led to indictments that resulted in the arrests.
