50 Gallons Of Hydraulic Oil Spills After Tractor-Trailer Accident In Sangerfield
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a major tractor-trailer accident on Route 20 in Sangerfield Monday.
Officials say, 25-year-old Todd Chandler of Black River, NY exited the north shoulder of the road and struck a utility pole bringing down high-voltage power lines blocking Route 20.
The utility pole was snapped in half and became an airborne projectile causing damage, including to two nearby cars.
The Tractor-Trailer traveled another tenth of a mile, dumping 50 gallons of hydraulic oil from a punctured fuel tank.
Chandler was ticketed for speed not reasonable and prudent.
