Update: AT&T has tweeted out a notice to customers that the '911' issue has been resolved.

AT&T cellphone customers are not currently able to use the 911 function on their cell phone as of early Thursday due to a system outage, according to an emergency alert system message released on Wednesday evening.  The outage is for AT&T cell phone customers in Oneida County.

"Currently there is a problem with A T & T cell phones dialing 9 1 1", the message reads from Oneida County Emergency Management.  In the event of an emergency, Oneida County AT&T customers should dial 315 736-0141 until further notice.
