ACR Health in Utica will observe National HIV Testing Day on Monday, June 27th by offering free testing from 10:00 to 3:00 at their office at 287 Genesee Street.

National HIV Testing Day is designed to encourage people to learn their HIV status.

The test only takes about ten minutes and results are available on the spot.

The Centers For Disease control and Prevention recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 gets tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care.  People with risk factors for HIV should get tested more often

According to the CDC, one in seven people in the United States are infected with HIV and don't know it.
