A&E’s ‘Beyond Scared Straight’ Episode Features Oneida County Jail

Oriskany, NY (WIBX) - The Oneida County Jail and it's Scared Straight program was featured on A-and-E Thursday night.

The station airs a program called 'Beyond Scared Straight', with cameras following young adults into jails as they learn what's its like to live life incarcerated.

Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol says 86 people particpated in the county's Scared Straight program this year.

It's possibly the local jail will also be featured on a future edition of the A-and-E Series, as well.
