A rapid-response team of Air Force air mobility specialists are scheduled to return to Griffiss International Airport in Rome next week.

About 70 members of the 621st Contingency Response Wing based at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey at will train at Griffiss May 14th through the 22nd.

They'll train on tasks they perform during worldwide deployments, including cargo handling, command and control and air base defense.

While the training will have no impact on the airport or its operations, Rome residents may hear an increased level of activity at the airport.

This will be the second time this month the 621st has been hosted by Griffiss for training operations.
