AIS In Rome Awarded $48 Million Air Force Contract
Assured Information Security in Rome has been awarded a nearly $48 million Air Force contract.
Senator Charles Schumer made the announcement on Tuesday.
AIS will explore next-generation network operations and vulnerability assessment technology or INNOVATE.
INNOVATE is an effort to provide new cyber assessment tools for high-priority, emerging or existing telecommunications technologies.
The work will be done in Rome over the next two years.
"We are pleased to be the recipient of this contract award and it's a testament to our employees and their commitment to delivering our customers with the very best,” said Pat Kotary, Vice President of Strategic Accounts for AIS. “In regard to the economic impact of this award, we will be hiring additional staff at both our Rome and Rochester offices.”

AIS was founded in 2001 and is located at the Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome.
