ATV Accident Leaves 2 Dead In Upstate New York

WAWARSING, N.Y. (AP) — A couple in upstate New York are dead after they lost control of their all-terrain vehicle and crashed into a shallow body of water.

The Ulster County Sheriff's Office says 83-year-old Filipo Zolli and 84-year-old Johann Zolli were riding tandem on the ATV on their property in Wawarsing Saturday afternoon. The Daily Freeman reports the Zollis lost control of their vehicle and fatally crashed into the water where they were found dead.

The Sheriff's Office dive team recovered the couple's bodies.

Authorities say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
