The Boilermaker Road Race and the American Red Cross are teaming up for a blood drive in commemoration of the Boston Marathon bombings.

It will take place on Friday, April 25th from 11:00 to 4:00 at the Radisson Hotel on Genesee Street.

"Last year's Boston Marathon tragedy had a profound impact on runners throughout the country and in the Central New York running community as well," said Boilermaker President, Tim Reed.

"Being able to commemorate the victims through this blood drive gives us a chance to give of ourselves to help others."

All donors will get a Boilermaker pint glass and a chance to win one of two free entries to the race.
