Brad Keselowski captured his first NASCAR Sprint Cup title with a 15th-place finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway, giving hall of fame owner Roger Penske his first series crown as well.

Jeff Gordon took the checkered flag, but the outcome of the championship was never in doubt after engine trouble ended Jimmie Johnson's race and season with about 40 laps to go.

Johnson's troubles dropped him to third, 40 points behind Keselowski, and one point behind runner-up Clint Bowyer - Final Standings.

Bowyer also ran second in the Sunday's race, just one second behind Gordon - after those same two driver's, and their teams, exchanged paint and punches last week in Pheonix.
