WASHINGTON (AP) — After seven years of wrangling over what's now known as "Obamacare," you might think people would be tired of big ideas for revamping the country's health care system.

The presidential candidates must not have gotten the memo.

The 2016 hopefuls in both parties are offering options that cover the spectrum of politics and policy — from a system fully run by the federal government to radically reducing Washington's role.

Along with plenty of promises from the candidates, each approach has particular pitfalls.

On the left is Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, proposing Medicare for all. Republicans would repeal Obama's law and scale back Medicaid. Hillary Rodham Clinton seems to have staked out a middle path.
