It was a very brief appearance in Oneida County Court today for the Utica man accused of killing three family members in January.

Judge Michael Dwyer adjourned proceedings in the case of Paul Bumbolo until Thursday.  Dwyer is expected to rule then whether statements Bumbolo made to police following the triple-homicide will be admissible at trail.

Meanwhile, Public Defender Luke Nebush has filed a psychiatric report in the case.

A trail date of September 21st has been scheduled.

Bumbolo is facing one count of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder in the stabbing deaths of his adoptive mother, uncle and step sister at their Whitesboro Street home on January 7th..
