The Subway car won the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway, snapping a 70 race winless streak for driver Carl Edwards.

The No.99 led the final 78 laps and was able to conserve enough fuel to take the drama out the final two laps to, pulling away and holding the lead on a restart with two laps to go.

Last week's Daytona 500 winner Jimmie Johnson was able to hold on to second barely 'nosing' Denny Hamlin, after Hamlin made an exciting move to the apron - a chance ultimately paid off - as he improved from fourth to third.

Brad Keselowski was fourth and Dale Jr. fifth. Pole sitter Mark Martin finished 21st.

Danica Patrick blew a tire with about 100 to go and slammed into the wall for a 39th place finish.
