It's certainly a good sign of things to come that the Cooperstown crowds could be seen on Main Street on a Thursday, ahead of a what will be a packed weekend at the home of America's oldest pastime.

Estimates range from between 40,000 - 80,000 visitors to Cooperstown this weekend, due in large part to an exceptional induction class, which has been dubbed the Splendid Six:

  • Frank Thomas
  • Greg Maddux
  • Tom Glavine
  • Bobby Cox (manager)
  • Tony La Russa (manager)
  • Joe Torre (manager)

Additionally, Craig Muder from the Baseball Hall of Fame says more than 50 living legends are expected to be in town for the festivities, as well.

Muder joined WIBX First News with Keeler in the Morning this week to talk about the excitement leading upto Sunday's induction ceremonies (click the link to here his interview).

The inductions are scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the Clark Sports Complex.
