Cornelia St To Temporarily Close For Demolition Work

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]This Friday, November 22nd and Monday, November 25th, Columbia Street between Cornelia Street and Broadway will be temporarily closed as demolition continues on buildings within the footprint of the new Mohawk Valley Health System Regional Medical Center.

MVHS officials say the buildings to be demolished are close enough to the road to potentially pose a risk, so the street will be closed to ensure everyone’s safety.

Motorists will be directed to travel south on Cornelia Street, east on Court Street and north on Broadway.

Detour signs will be posted.
