Despite jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the first two-minutes of the second period, the Utica Pioneers were startled by Wisconsin-EAU Claire as they returned fire with five unanswered goals.  Wisconsin scored two goals in less than 30 seconds in the second period and then came out immediately in the third to score and take a 3-1 lead.  The score was 4-1 with just under 3:30 minutes to play, when Coach Gary Heenan pulled his goalie.  Wisconsin scored the open net goal with less than 90-seconds to play and that would set up the final score of 5-1.  Check back for more news on this story later.
