Forestport Man Charged With Attempted Rape

State Police have arrested a Forestport man on an attempted rape charge.

Troopers were called to a home in Forestport after a 48-year old woman reported that 25-year old Casimir Swalgin, Jr. tried to rape her.

Swalgin, was taken into custody without incident.

He was arraigned and sent to the Oneida County jail on $50,000 bail.
