Genesis Group Raises Funds For Three Local Agencies

The Genesis Group presented checks to three local organizations on Friday to help them with their efforts to prepare food baskets and meals to serve on Thanksgiving.

Ray Durso, Executive Director of the Genesis Group, says $1,200 was raised through a raffle at their recent Education Celebration.

"The Genesis Group an its volunteers are very proud to work on this initiative," said Durso.  "It is meaningful and rewarding when people come together to do something good for those in need."

The Rome Rescue Mission, Thea Bowman House and Mohawk Valley Rotary each received checks for $400.
