Herkimer College Softball Team’s Season Comes to a Close

An amazing season of college softball has come to a close for the Lady Generals of Herkimer College.

Herkimer lost twice in double elimination at the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.  It was the seventh straight appearance in the NCCC Division III Tournament for Herkimer. Last year the Generals lost in the semi-final round.

Herkimer advanced to the semis finals with two wins on Thursday. On Friday, the Generals lost 2-1 to Rock Valley.  Rock Valley would win the National Championship with a 6-2 win over Herkimer on Saturday.

Herkimer had won 39 straight games prior to the loss to Rock Valley.
