Herkimer Woman Arrested for Assaulting a Pregnant Woman

Herkimer Police have arrested a woman in connection with an assault on a pregnant woman.

The accused is 26-year-old Alicia Bellinger of Herkimer. Police say they responded to a residence for a report that a pregnant woman had just been assaulted.

As a result of the investigation, it is alleged that Bellinger struck and kicked the pregnant female, which resulted in a need for medical attention. Bellinger was transported to the Herkimer Police Department to be processed and has been released. She was given an appearance ticket to appear at a later date.
