Ilion Police Release Details On What Led To School Lockout
Ilion Police say a lockout earlier this week at the Remington Educational Complex/Pathways Academy was the result of a hit and run accident.
Police say 20-year old Dakota Mander of Utica allegedly hit another man with his vehicle and fled the scene.
They say a credible threat made against other persons in the area led to the need for extra security measures at the school.
Mander was charged with assault, reckless driving and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. Additional charges may be possible.
