FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — The judge in the murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez now says the prosecutor can ask the victim's sister about text messages sent in the final minutes of his life.

Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh on Friday told prosecutor William McCauley in a testy exchange that he could not ask Odin Lloyd's sister about the messages sent minutes before Lloyd was killed June 17, 2013.

McCauley had argued that they could be used to establish where Lloyd was in those final minutes.

But on Monday, Garsh said she had reconsidered and decided McCauley could ask about the messages. However, he will not be allowed to ask about the content of the messages or about the reaction by Lloyd's sister to getting them.
