Inmate Arrested For Promoting Prison Contraband

State police in Marcy have charged an inmate of Bare Hill correctional facility with promoting prison contraband.

Police say James Kastenhuber, 23, allegedly possessed the controlled substance "suboxone" while he was an inmate in Rome's Mohawk correctional facility.

Kastenhuber remains in custody while awaiting trial.
