The Oneida County District Attorney's Office has completed its investigation into the death of 24-year old Tyler Johnson.

Johnson was shot and killed by State Trooper Robert Annarino in April.

Annarino was responding to a home on Golly Road in the Town of Lee for a possible overdose when police say Johnson lunged at him with a knife.

Annarino gave several verbal commands for Johnson to drop the knife, but he failed to comply.  Authorities say Annarino, fearing for his safety and the safety of EMS personnel, fired at Johnson, striking him several times.

DA Scott McNamara says the investigation shows Annarino was justified in his use of deadly physical force and there will be no further action in the matter.
