Marcy, NY (WIBX) - The Utica Common Council voted unanimously to begin listing vacant properties to keep tabs on empty homes and commercial buildings to prevent them from going into direpair and becoming eyesores.

While it seems like a good idea to many, some argue that it is an invasion of privacy, saying that as long as they maintain their properties it is no one's right to know whether it is occupied or not.
