Late Night Accident Lands Man In Emergency Room

Town of Whitestown, (WIBX) - A late night accident on Route 233 in the Town of Whitestown sent a Westmoreland man to the emergency room. Oneida County Sheriff's officials say, 33 year old Jason M. Magnusson lost control of his 2009 Toyota Pickup truck around 11:09 p.m., veered off the roadway, and ended up overturned in a ditch, at the intersection of Route 233 and Sutliff Road.

Magnussen, who was headed North bound on Rt 233, was ticketed for unsafe speed for road conditions, which were snow covered at the time, officials say. He was taken to St. Lukes Hospital by COCVAC ambulance service, with neck and back injuries. The Stanwix Heights and Oriskany Fire Departments assisted Oneida County Investigating Deputy, Matthew Taylor on the scene.
