A Community Bridge Event sponsored by the Oneida County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Foundation will be taking place on October 13th at the National Guard Armory in Utica.

Oneida County Undersheriff Rob Swenszkowski says the event will feature educational presentations, informative displays, and most importantly interaction with members of local law enforcement.

Swenszkowski says the event will also provide a hands-on, interactive experience for 1,000 middle school students from the Utica School District.

The Utica and Rome Police Departments, the Sheriff's Office, State Police and the Army National guard will all be taking part in the event.

The Community Bridge event will take place from 2:00 to 6:00 and is open to the public.
