Level 2 Registered Sex Offender Charged With Sexual Abuse

A level 2 registered sex offender has been arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with a girl under 11 years old.

The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center says 67-year old Donald Cadrette of Rome is charged with one count of sexual abuse.

Investigators say the incidents took place in the City of Rome in 2016 and 2017.

Authorities say more charges against Cadrette are pending.

An order of protection was requested for the victim.

The victim was also offered counseling services through the Child Advocacy Center.
