Man Hits Pole, Charged With DWI

Paris, NY (WIBX) - A Sauquoit man is facing a DWI charge following a two-car accident at the intersection of Oneida Street and Pinnacle Road in Paris.

Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies say 43-year-old Mike Mandia pulled into the path of an oncoming car driven by 18-year old Jeremy Slosek of West Winfield.

Mandia's car struck a telephone pole after being hit.

Mandia suffered several broken ribs and contusions and was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Slosek was not injured.
