ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A 26-year-old man convicted of raping a SUNY Albany student as she slept in her dorm room is scheduled to be sentenced.

A jury convicted Franklin Casatelli of Guilderland of multiple charges including felony rape and second-degree burglary in December. He faces up to 25 years in prison when he's sentenced on Monday in Albany County Court.

Prosecutors say Casatelli broke into the 19-year-old woman's room at Stuyvesant Tower in October 2016. He wasn't a student. The woman told police she woke up to Casatelli sexually assaulting her in her bed.

Police say Casatelli unlawfully entered another student's room before the assault.

Casatelli served time in state prison for a drug-related conviction and had been paroled 10 days before the rape.
