A Verona man is listed in "good" condition following an accident in Westmoreland on Sunday.

At approximately 2:30am on January 11, 2015 the Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Scott D. Gagnon of Verona allegedly failed to negotiate a left-hand turn while driving his 2006 Chevy Trailblazer on Eureka Road.  The car veered off the road, hitting what deputies described as a large maple tree.

In a written release deputies say, "The Trailblazer ricocheted off of the tree and re-entered the roadway where it came to rest upright after sustaining extensive front end damage."

Gagnon suffered injuries to his head, face, and back.  After being treated on the scene by Westmoreland firefighters and emergency responders from Central Oneida County Ambulance, Gagnon was brought to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.  As of this posting his condition was listed as "good."

The accident is still under investigation.
