Mayor Declares State Of Emergency Following Charlestown Fire

Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri is declaring a State of Emergency due to the Charlestown Mall fire.

Palmieri says the structure of the building is compromised and poses a threat to public safety.

He says several roads are closed in the immediate area of the mall and the public should avoid traveling in that area.

All Utica residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed until further notice because of air quality concerns.
