Middletown Police Involved in Fatal Shooting

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say police officers in an upstate New York city were involved in a fatal shooting.

Police in Middletown in Orange County say the shooting occurred around 6:50 p.m. Wednesday while officers were responding to a domestic incident. Officials say no other information will be released by Middletown police.

The case has been turned over to state police and the county district attorney's office.

Officials have scheduled a news conference for 1 p.m. Thursday at the state police barracks in Middletown.
