Missing Otsego County Woman Found Dead

A woman reported missing in Otsego County has been found dead.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office says the body of 60-year old Margaret Thayer was found this morning on property behind her home.

They say it was discovered in an area where snow drifts were previously several feet deep.

Deputies were at the home re-checking areas that had previously been searched.

Thayer was last seen on March 1st, the day before a major snow storm hit the area, but was not reported missing until March 6th.

Foul play is not suspected and the investigation is continuing.
