BOLTON, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of the New York City man presumed to have drowned while swimming during a family outing on an Adirondack lake.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office says 32-year-old Armando Cordero of Woodside in Queens was boating on Lake George early Tuesday afternoon with his girlfriend, his son and his girlfriend's daughter.

Deputies say Cordero was swimming near islands off the town of Bolton when he apparently suffered cramps, went under and didn't resurface.

Searches by police and fire crews have failed to find him. A search conducted Thursday was halted around 5 p.m. when severe storms hit the area.

Officials say the search will resume Friday morning.

Police say Cordero and his family were vacationing in the village of Bolton Landing.
