Utica, NY (WIBX) - A noise dispute between neighbors led to the arrest of a suspect accused of making a violent threat. According to the report, 73-year-old Willie Bennett of Miller Street in Utica became angry with his neighbor over the noise of his lawn mower, and threatened to stab him with a screw driver. Witnesses on the scene told police that they saw Bennett making jabbing motions with the screw driver as he came toward his neighbor. Officials say the incident occurred yesterday around 6:30 p.m.

Bennett is charged with the following:

  • 4th Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon
  • 2nd Degree Menacing
