The third New York State Tourism Summit was held in Albany on Wednesday.

Local and international tourism leaders met with State officials to explore new industry opportunities.

At the summit, a commitment of $50 million was unveiled to promote statewide tourism, create jobs, and attract more visitors to every region of New York.

The state's tourism industry generated a $100.1 billion economic impact in 2014.

“Tourism is vital to New York’s economy – it creates jobs and opportunity in virtually every community across the state,” said Governor Andrew Cuomo.
