Palmieri Announces Appointment Of Chief Of Staff

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Mayor-elect Rob Palmieri has appointed a Chief of Staff. 57-year old Utica native Jim Murphy will serve in the position.

Murphy has held numerous positions in the State Assembly since 1981, including Director of Personnel, Director of the Intern Program and Director of Regional Services for the Assembly Majority.

He currently lives in the Saratoga County community of Burnt Hills and will establish a residence in Utica.

Murphy will be paid $30,000 a year and will receive no health or pension benefits.
