HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) — Patriot League champion Colgate has claimed three of the conference's four major awards, including Dan Hunt as coach of the year.

Senior running back James Holland Jr. was named offensive player of the year and senior linebacker T.J. Holl defensive player of the year, two big keys that helped lead the Raiders to a 9-1 record in the regular season.

Holland led the league in both rushing (1,065 yards) and total touchdowns (14). Holl was among the leaders in tackles (94) and tackles for a loss (13.0). Colgate led the nation in scoring defense (5.7 points per game) and total defense (201.7 yards/game).

Hunt was selected the Dick Biddle coach of the year, the third time he's won the award. The name of the award was changed Monday in honor of the Hall of Fame coach that Hunt succeeded. Hunt was an assistant during Biddle's entire 19-year head coaching tenure at Colgate.
