Police Find Crack Pipe After Traffic Stop

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Four people are facing misdemeanor charges after a traffic stop on Oneida Street in Utica lead to Utica Police uncovering a crack pipe with crack cocaine inside of it. After an investigation, police say they also discovered that the driver had a suspended license. The driver, 28 year old Stephen Benoit is facing Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, including a traffic violation and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The other three occupants, 24 year old Ashley Baslow of Rome, 23 year old James Nester of Blossvale, and 22 year old Amy Berg also of Blossvale, are charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
