UPDATE: 03/01/2022  2345   After receiving numerous tips the New York State Police says that the suspect has been identified.

Authorities are thanking members of the public for assistance making the identification.

Police have not yet publicly released the identity of the suspect.  No additional information is available at this time.

Police Asking for Help from the Public Identifying Theft Suspect

New York State Police are asking for your help finding a man who allegedly filled up a cart at a store and then left without paying for the items.

Troopers say the man is accused of filling up a cart full of items from Walmart in Oneonta then leaving without paying for any of the items.  This incident took place on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at approximately 8:40am.

The Walmart in Oneonta, New York is located at 5054 NY-23.

There is a whole lot of star power on display in this gallery. We feature 29 celebrities who were born in Upstate New York. Many of the names are instantly familiar, such as Lucille Ball and Kirk Douglas, but it is the lesser known stars that are the most fun.

We all have memories of those great little five-and-dime stores and general stores of our youth. They were the heartbeat of our communities. They sold just about everything, you could get a pretty good meal in most of them, and of course, the showstopper was always the rows of penny candies.
