Utica, NY (WIBX) - A new survey from Rasmussen indicates growing opposition to Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan's budget plan. According to the report, 34-percent of likely voters do not favor the republican's plan to tackle Medicare costs as a way to reduce the nation's deficit--that's up by 7-percent from last month's survey.

The report reveals that only 26-percent favor the budget proposal that claims to cut federal spending by $4 trillion dollars over the next ten years, while 40-percent of people say they don't know enough about the plan to have an opinion. Officials say what's more telling about the survey, is how the plan--a contentious issue in Congress--barely registers with many Americans. 1,000 likely voters were polled nationwide for these results.
