Rome Woman Facing Aggravated DWI Charge After Thruway Accident

A Rome woman is facing DWI charges following an accident on the New York State Thruway.

State Police say, Troopers responded to the scene of a two-car accident on I-90 in the Town of Sullivan.

An investigation revealed 34-year-old Julia Kaveney struck a 2017 Ford Escape being driven by Timothy McQuinn of Oneida, causing both vehicles to exit the roadway.

Troopers learned, that Kaveney was allegedly intoxicated and she was taken to State Police headquarters where her blood alcohol content was determined to be .19%

She was ultimately charged with Aggravated DWI and other vehicle and traffic violations.
