Samantha Colosimo-Testa is currently the incumbent councilperson in the 6th ward of Utica. Today she announced she will be seeking a third term.

In a statement released by Testa on Friday she highlights her quality of life accomplishments such as the prevention of the asphalt plant and sponsoring the repair of city roads.

Testa says,

It has been my honor and pleasure to serve as the City of Utica’s 6th Ward Common Council Representative for the past five and a half years. It is with pride that I can say I have been instrumental in accomplishing many great things in the city, such as working with the administration to make sure that we were able to have a zero percent tax increase this year. I look forward to maintaining that relationship for the good of the taxpayer so they can feel confident about living here, working here and most importantly raising a family here.

Samantha Colosimo-Testa was born, raised and educated in Utica City Schools. She is a NYS certified Elementary School Teacher and on the Board of Urban Renewal and the Harbor Point LDC. The Common Council election will be held in November.
