Schumer Wants More Flights to Florida

A New York Senator is trying to make it easier for his constituents to escape the Empire State, at least temporarily.

Senator Charles Schumer wrote a letter to JetBlue, asking the company to resume daily flights from Syracuse to Florida to Fort Lauderdale.

The service was discontinued more than six years ago.  Officials with the company are said to be considering Schumer's request and the possibility of resuming the service.
